Thread Name: Sidmouth Session
Subject: RE: Sidmouth Session
Lee, I hope your rather negative sounding comment was not addressed to me, as a result of my last post !!
My comments where directed at an earlier poster who complained about the " Snobby Attitude" of some inhabitants of Sidmouth.
I would like to see a session for musicians, in Sidmouth, as a melodeon player myself,( with a concertina playing Wife ) I would enjoy the occasional chance to play informally in a friendly environment, unfortunately previous attempts to organise such a session have met with little success, I think the problem is that there are not that many folk musicians (as opposed to singers ) in Sidmouth, and those that are there are already involved in other musical activities, and tend to travel out of town to attend sessions in neighbouring areas.
I wish you success with any attempts to start a session, and if you do get something going I will certainly join you as and when I can
Merry Christmas !!
