For your play, five characters:

1) One who followed his conscience and went to 'Nam

2) One who followed his conscience and went to jail

3) One who followed his conscience and went to Canada*

4) One who, in his heart, believed in the war/government and yet evaded the Draft by going to Canada (I don't believe that one such as this would choose to go to jail)

5) One who, in his heart, believed that the war/government were in the wrong and yet went to Vietnam

* The draft-dodging character from James Michener's 1971 novel, The Drifters

Soliloquies [sp?] from each describing his reasons for why he believed what he believed and did what he did. Interaction between the characters
