"glamorize the use of heroin" You old folks are probably long past the impressionable age, so maybe you didn't notice how the whole "coolness" thing Travolta had going on tied in with his private heroin euphoria. Also, the zany "did she od, omigod, how can we revive her" scene, played more or less for laughs, but with a message attached, (don't do this-it's not good) or the a scene w/ Eric Stoltz the dealer where they discuss price vs the unparalleled quality of the high. I'm pretty sure this was the same movie you saw. Anyway, it was an offhand comment. I'm not the movie police. The famed director's intention may not have been to glamorize it, but the effect is a rippling effect that is beyond his control. I know this: kids watch that movie and think nothing of it. heroin, ecstasy, pot, rufies, cocaine, whatever, there's not a lot of discrimination involved. (hey, it's all good) am I so wrong?
