At midnight on new year's eve, everyone in the town goes to the square (that's outside the chipshop, for those who have been here) to sing auld lang syne, kiss each other, and make as much noise as possible.
I won't be able to join them, this year, because, due to the washed out bonfire night, everyone is going to let off fireworks as well.
I shall be sitting with a large, black, shivering dog on my knee, trying to cover his ears and make soothing noises.
Resolutions?, the usual. More exercise. less food, more practice, grow hair. etc, etc,etc........
