The pickles and eggplant are done but the jelly might be this evening. My son is replacing some jars he never returned (left behind) from college.

Yet another colleague has announced a new job and leaving this library. That means 23 people of our just over 100 member staff have left since our dean committed the reorganization. The new semester starts tomorrow with lots of new equipment in place, but the upgrade running so late that no one will have been trained to run any of it. Will. Not. Be. Fun. Me - I intend to wear my library t-shirt and my official nametag and go outside the library with an armful of maps and red pen and help people find the classroom buildings they're looking for. They're so very grateful to have a friendly face show them where they need to be.
