Subject: RE: Summer 2014 Exercise the right to declutter!
Very little material left the house with my son. A couple of the blankets he has used since childhood (and through college) are now bound for Seattle. They came from my great aunt's house in Connecticut and are certainly well-travelled! There is some virtual files (decrypting a hard drive with music and game files from high school took part of the evening) and all told I think a couple of cubic feet of stuff left. I'm going to discard or use some of the stuff he figures he can replace when he gets to the new place (rather than lug them up there). He'll probably come by the house in the morning for anything he forgot or to pick up a couple of the plastic lidded boxes we've used for moving stuff back and forth from school for the last four years. This evening we talked about cooking and about getting moved in and getting insurance - interesting and instructive when not made over-powering.

He's a great kid. And there is absolutely nothing to complain about - he earned a full scholarship to the university, graduated magna cum laude, and he has a good job with Amazon that starts in a couple of weeks. The world is his oyster.

SRS, basking in a job well done (parent-wise)
