Michelle, steel toed boots are great for garden work also, especially if you use chopping tools like a mattock.

Pot roast braising on the stove, laundry on the line. There is a fresh breeze this afternoon, not too humid after all. I have a batch of juice from last summer thawing to add to this year's juice for one last batch of jelly. Once I have a few of these things ready to go to keep me in the kitchen for a while I'll stream a more episodes of Bones.

Dorothy, our house isn't plumbed for gas, but there is a line through the neighborhood, so if I got it ever (to cook on) I would also consider a gas burning fireplace.
