Well this raises the question "What is the difference between a Gathering and a Festival."I suppose it'a matter of size but just what the cut off number is I don't know. Under 200 people? So Teribus you may have Folk Gatherings on the east side of the pond without even knowing it. Like JHW says, I think Gatherings do lend themselves to DIY music.
