One of my thoughts reminded me of an incident in Camden Maine. Two old characters sitting on a bench by the dock, talking like shills for the Chamber of Commerce. A brief conversation:
Sam: "Did you hear that they are gonna have the world fair in Tennessee?
Ned, "Yes. why couldn't they have in Bangor so everyone could go"?
