Subject: Nov-Dec 2014 Declutter & Fitness
Here is the previous thread.

Mostly the usual stuff today. I cleaned out dog dishes and the galvanized tank, the stall with dog houses and bedding, scooped the back yard, and mowed the areas with tall grass (at the back it is bare during the heat so now as winter grass is coming up from last spring's seed I'll leave it alone and let it get established). The dog bedding is in the laundry now and every few minutes I open the dryer and pull more hair and debris out of the lint filter.

The stuff I have listed on eBay is gradually selling so I need to put up more. I pay for online postage (US Post Office postage) with my PayPal account, which is funded via eBay sales, so I use this as motivation to list. As far as eBay goes, it is a good time of year to put up listings. As the weather cools and the holidays approach, people shop. A lot.

The declutter threads have brought in some newcomers and lurkers who occasionally visit. We recently heard the following from Shimrod:

" ... because there are lurkers who occasionally report in that they have made progress on some small personal goal and want to share the news. The successful diet, the renovation of a room or a house, the setting of a personal goal and finishing the project ... "

I just wanted to announce (shout from the rooftops!) that, just over a year ago, I set myself the goal of sorting out my grossly untidy, junk and book filled Edwardian semi-detached hovel in Manchester, UK, and I'VE FINISHED THE PROJECT !!! I can't believe it! I must say, I'm very pleased with the result. It's gone from 'squalid' to 'immaculate' - and it was worth the effort (not to mention the money!).

Not everyone is going to progress as quickly, and others might move even faster if motivated by a deadline. Many of us are simply trying to stay ahead of the clutter accumulating in our homes, or are downsizing simply make our homes more comfortable.

Good luck, everyone!
