I agree about the right wing positions of those people. But South Carolina elected a black senator. Race did not enter into the decision. So much for racism.

Fascism is another matter.

The Democratic party had a chance to reshape itself into a progressive, populist entity but instead chose to go with Barack Obama, a representative of corporate interests. It will be impossible now for the party to regain the populist label.

And the corporate interests will never again allow populism to get a foothold in America. The Koch/Soros oligarchical tyranny will now take away all social services, medical care, pensions and so on. This will be blamed on Obama's supposed incompetence and "gridlock" for the next two years, and then the real nut cutting will begin. The Republican-labeled fascists that you mention will tell you to sit down and shut up or face a SWAT team.

I don't support either party, so I'm curious, why did you Democrats let this happen? Why did you support a corporatist like Obama as he wrecked your party? Was it political correctness? Magical thinking?
