I like to make meals that have several things that go into the oven at the same time. I also still do turkeys, etc. in the oven. I also have a convection oven (a large glass bowl in a stand and the heating element and fan in the lid) and I have an 18-quart Nesco roaster oven. The reason for replacing the stove is because I don't like having a bum appliance plugged in all of the time and it is too difficult to reach to keep unplugging. I will do some research on the stove and see what a repair would cost, if it is possible.

I have a number of pans that simply don't fit into the convection oven, and while things do bake in the Nesco, it sometimes takes considerably longer and any time I open it to check, there goes a lot of heat.

I'm tired of sitting in the basement all day - I got out for a few minutes after lunch to photograph a head shot for a fellow staff member and it's lovely out there. I'm off to climb the stairs just to get my system moving.
