And as I have said so many times, there is usually a basic difference in kind between Repub. & Dem. bills. Holding your nose and allowing a bill with stuff you don't like in order to pass something you consider important is not 'corruption'.
Calling everything and everyone in politics 'corrupt' is a cynical/lazy way of not bothering to sort thru to the basic differences.

Does anyone remember to phrase "the loyal opposition"? There used to be a basic system of compromise when work had to get done, but that was before Karl Rove convinced the Republicans that if they were patient and followed his plan, they would eventually stack the deck so that they were always & forever in control! Gerrymander... limit voting of those who vote against you... stack the court system... buy & control as much media as possible... fill Congress with idiots, as long as they vote the **right** way, and tell ANY lie & distortion until you yourself begin to believe it.
