Michelle: I never realized how important presentation is until I saw my pottery beautifully displayed at the art Gallery last month! I thought white was best for my variety of glaze colours but contrasting colours make a big difference. I am trying red table covering, with some white lacy place mats for this week's market. We'll see.

By 8 pm last night I was wishing I had gone back to the warm studio and thrown some pots for a couple hours. For reasons best known to someone else, I did not fall asleep early but was good 'til about 10:30 and well bored with both internet and reading. At least I felt better. Getting back on track with supplements does seem to be helping.

Of course this morning I could not get into the potting as it would have meant a couple hours of pre-heating and I had no idea when R would decide to leave for city. I changed the bedding and loaded winter clothes and other stuff into car so I was almost ready to leave when the word came about 1 pm. Turned on kiln after a call to Van to ensure she was not coming today; the fumes are toxic. Someday we will have an exhaust fan... Van will unload tomorrow - but be sure and clear the air!

I drove so R could do business on phone, dropped him off and came home and unloaded car, put food in frig, had a healthy lunch, cooked chicken, cauliflower and cheese sauce for supper. In between - internet, Big Bang and reading during meals. I was going to watch a program about a Canadian literary prize but, when I turned it on, the host was one of my most detested TV people. Why would they have a "comedian" host a literary event!

Tomorrow I am transporting two turtles from the SPCA to Trois Rivieres (about 90 minutes) for rescue. I have no idea why they need to go so far! I am just the chauffeur. I do enjoy going "in a different direction" once in a while. I really miss not having any raccoons but I had no energy for them this year anyway so it is good none came to me.
