So much to do this weekend - green tomato relish, defrosting a turkey, getting the shopping done. Oy. I need some extra days off, but don't know if I can take them in the current climate at the library.

My son's care package is nearing delivery and the eBay parcel (chandelier) arrived yesterday. Time to photograph, describe, and pack some more eBay stuff.

I may hire a local kid to come help for an hour or two in the garden, to work side-by-side rather than unsupervised. That would speed up the removal to the compost and let me do some of the turning over of soil in preparation for onions and potatoes and to put in some broccoli (I could have planted them earlier, but all of the space was covered with active crops).

Dog stuff this weekend - brush, possibly bathe all of them. I'll be making their stall winter-worthy. When I telecommuted I could let them in in really cold weather because I was in the house with them, but now that I have to be away every day I need to be sure their space in the garage is comfortable on the coldest days.

If I'd acted like I threatened a few weeks ago I'd have put up some holiday lights in the warm weather. Now I have to put them up whenever I get a chance and be bundled up to do it. At least I have a couple of trees just the right size to string with the big lights that are a lovely spot of color. I don't do the entire house, just an accent or two in the yard.
