Rats can carry diseases, it isn't a good idea to make a pet of a wild one. If either of the guys get sick, be sure to mention the rat to the doctor.

Dog droppings policed, compost bin emptied, all commingled in the compost heap that has been topped by part of the dead garden plants. Out now to trim more tomato vines and dump them before dark. It's nice now, but will be cool and very rainy tomorrow, so tomorrow after all of the dog stuff I'll work on the project in the garage (connecting up the dog stall gate with the wall so the dogs can't just wander into the entire garage).

Tonight also will be canning relish. I've set everything up to work on. Also, I'm going to be starting some sewing projects soon. I got one of those Amazon Fire TV Stick's when they were half-price on pre-order. I am going to use it with a small LED television that I can move around the house. I like to watch movies while I sew, and I can stream NetFlix or Amazon prime through this and not have to set up a cable or computer to do it. I could have used the laptop connected to the television, but that involves multiple plugs, cables, and space on the tabletop. For $20, I figure it's a good way to set up a comfy work space.
