Mary, here are a few links that should help:

The dead eggplant, okra, tomatoes, peppers from the big garden are now in the compost. There are a couple of pobalo plants still standing near the kitchen door. I cut the basil and dropped it in place so it will seed itself in the spring. The bench cushions have been brought in for the season. If I'd had time I should have put up the holiday lights on this warm afternoon, but it will have to wait.

Good news on the dog front: I called Invisible Fence to order new batteries. I have one collar that I trade off between Cinnamon and Poppy and this is enough to keep them away from the fence. I wanted to know if they had any used collar units ($125), but they didn't. We discussed prices - new they're $350 with a full warranty, or I can get a 1 year warranty for $130 less, and I was thinking about that. I mentioned that I knew the full warranty wasn't everything they claimed, because I was told a couple of years ago that they wouldn't replace a unit the dogs broke - they would only replace those that failed electronically. She said that was wrong, if the dogs broke it they would replace it. I dug it out, she looked up my account, and I'm going to mail this to her to replace and use that on Zeke to train and then wear. Whew! I'll train Zeke over the holiday break.
