I spent the day working on the kitchen sink faucet. Two trips to the plumbing supply across town led me to pronounced the faucet dead. A third trip back to return the items I'd purchased, then swung by Lowe's to buy a faucet with the supply hoses attached.

The lines were difficult to remove, I had to lie there with my head on bottom of the sink cupboard floor crap and use a wrench to tap the finger-tighten thingies holding the old faucet to the sink. I finally wrestled it out and put the new faucet in. All of this took about 8 hours of running around, thinking, rounding up stuff, clearing out the cupboard, etc. And now the water shut off for the hot water is leaking out the stem - probably needs a new washer. I'm waiting till it's light tomorrow and then I'll turn off the house water at the curb and work on that one. Thank goodness for YouTube. For now the cold water is on to the faucet, the hot water valve is off until it is repaired.

My hair is clean, I've washed my glasses and put away most of the gear used today. The turkey is thawing in a tub of water, to go in the fridge overnight and back in the tub tomorrow if it isn't ready yet. And brine on Wednesday night. Let the staging of the holiday meal begin . . .

Linn, sounds like your UPS might need a new battery. They can be purchased and replaced, though as UPS units are improved, you may want to compare the price of a new one vs repairing the old.
