Well, it's not the UPS and I don't think it's the outlet, which seems to work okay when I plug a lamp into it. Might be a bad power supply. It's just such a coincidence with all the other wonkiness going on. Stressful.

Enjoyed today's snow by not going out in it. I don't think I got enough to plow. Hope not. Really don't need a forty buck bill right now. Talked to Jeri earlier. Sounds like she (6 miles up the road) got a bit more. Spent the day sorting papers, throwing out a lot and organizing the rest into folders in the file cabinet. Still have more, but of an entirely different sort, including the odd stuff that Tom kept in his file basket.

Also got some laundry done, mixed up a batch of margaritas for the fridge, and made a batch of spaghetti with meatballs. In trying to keep elderly pain in the butt cat Sabine from getting hurt (she likes to sit on the stove, shove her head in my food, and stand between me and the sink when I'm trying to do something) I managed to lightly scald MY hand draining the pasta. Not bad at all, the pain's long gone.

And I found a hard copy (a bit outdated) of my address list, too, so I can think about writing out Christmas cards.
