"Dogs must be kept on leads" reads the sign at the entrance to our local nature reserve. Last time I was there, I counted ten dogs. Two were on leads. A couple more were walking nicely. The rest were charging around in the reed beds where there are ground-nesting birds and rare plants. One path to the side is known locally as Dogshit Alley.
