I'm going to exercise my courage now and step forward to take responsibility for the "Adolph" doggerel, and explain my thought process in coming up with that. It was meant in my mind to poke fun at the KKK and neo-nazis who idolize the biggest idiot so far in the history of the world. I want to be perfectly clear that I despise racism in all forms including anti-Semitism.

At the same time, I dislike the "holier-than-thou" attitude of so many left-of-center folks who think that everyone to the right of them, politcally, are a bunch of greedy money grubbing so-and-so's out to stick it to the poor, the downtrodden, and the minorities. For instance, where are the folk songs praising Eisenhower for sending in Federal troops to uphold the Supreme Court's decision to integrate the schools in Brown vs. Board of Education? Is the good he did forgotten because he was a Republican?

For a good scholarly treatment of why the two sides can't seem to see eye-to-eye, I recommend the book "A Conflict Of Visions" by Thomas Sowell.

For another parody poking fun at the right wing, there was a Saturday Night Live skit from the 1980 US Presidential election called "Invasion of the Mind Snatchers". In it, a newly-conservative folkie sang, to the tune of "Blowin' in the Wind", "How many times must the taxes be raised/Before they are forever banned?/The answer, my friend, is Ronald Reagan/The answer is Ronald Reagan."
