Hardi put up the shoe rack mentioned HERE a few days ago. Designed to hold 18 pairs, it now contains the 6-10 pairs I kept here and hanging bags, scarves, etc. as planned.

It's the metal kind that is meant to hang from a door and have the shoes stowed facing the door. Who wants to see all soles! Because we installed it onto a cleat mounted on the side wall of the closet, it left room to stow the shoes facing out-- my heels are a max of kitten heel height. I'll add one just like it in Ohio when we get there, to hold the shoes that are going there. As for the shoes here now that I don't love so much-- and seldom wear in this climate-- when we move, they can go back into the thrift shop.

BIG change, for me-- a little ukulele now hangs from the bookshelf that came out of Supercloset, now that the big belly that blocked guitars, etc. was surgically deleted (Sept. 2012). It is a heck of a lot easier to transport than my many-piece autoharp setup! Toting THAT has been like toting a drum kit! It even has a pickup and onboard tuner.
