My boys went to town to do some errands so I took advantage of the quiet. I put on some quiet Christmas music, put up the nativities, wound the garland up the rail, hung the stockings, put out some do-dads, packed up stuff that will come back out in January and am now going to settle in to do wrap some of Jeremiah's gifts. I still need to do my Christmas cards and find some time on Monday to wrap up gifts for both Pete and my mom. That won't take long as the grown ups aren't getting much this year but Jeremiah? Well....let's just say I did my best to keep it under control. I didn't go hog wild but I can see how it could happen. I started shopping for him in late September getting the larger items that we had decided on for him (big Lincoln Log set) and some rescue vehicles, slightly larger than normal HotWheels. But then I found the Five Below store and stocked up on some games, more cars, puzzles (which he loves), etc. The only clothing item he is getting (and needing, really) is socks. I have some candy for his stocking, some black scratch pads that he loves and a battery operated toothbrush. I personally don't like them...feels like a bee is in my mouth but I've read lots that supports the idea that a child's teeth will be cleaned better with such a thing. It's worth a try. The other thing I got him that was kind of last minute is a set of full sized headphones for when he wants to play his alphabet games or watch a Scooby Doo and Paw Patrol you know!!!

Time to get busy. I'm having fun!
