Joe Cocker's Big Blues played in Grimsby and Cleethorpes a lot in the mid 60s. Always a friendly man with a tight band and a fascinating range of material. Together with Dave (Crying Game) Berry and The Cruisers, also from Sheffield, he introduced me to some wonderful music.
I was so pleased to see him do well later, although I knew he had his problems, and I'm saddened to hear of his passing.
