CIty:
Felt really good at the mill. Accomplished many little things and some big ones. Kept going all day, each day as though I were all better.

R finally showed up at 1 am on Sat. Sat we had a quick BF and he went off to the auction house to pick up stuff he bought two weeks ago. Another Auction started at 11 am and when he was not back by 1ish I went in. In the meantime, I was working on getting things done in living space and studio. We have MICE! So we spent time cleaning up the under-sink cabinet where they had a toilet tissue nest and the stove drawer AND under the burners where they had another nest of the insulation from the stove. R cleaning out that part.

By Sunday eve: we had spent time at auction, cleaned the entire living space - floors, stove, cabinets, discovered the bottom element of stove does not function so R took it out and I have it in my car to find a replacement. R also took an air cleaner apart to find why the switch does not function; something broken, I need to order a new switch assembly. He managed to put a new sponge on sponge mop - and wondered how many are thrown out due to difficulty. R is patient and competent; he loves repairing things.

Discovered the seriousness of mouse problem when I turned on oven on Friday to cook a chicken and went to do something on the nearby counter and HOLY MOLEY!!! the ammonia fumes forced me out of the room! Coming out though one of the burners. So everything is clean and the burners are covered; hole offering pathway to stove has a motorcycle license plate over it! Pans in drawer are covered or turned upside down; holes in sink cabinet covered with wood, AND there are 4 traps baited with cheese, one in the drawer. Sorry mice but this is beyond my level of endurance.

Trip to the library, two more glazes mixed, R showed me how to use his gram scale as mine had been knocked to the floor and even R could not find a missing piece. Glaze firing loaded - all but two of Vanessa's pots went in. Included were two small pieces to test new glaze batches. Then we came back to the city last night. Cannot be there with firing going until the exhaust fan is installed.

We did buy a few things at the Sat auction. My share: a lovely cut glass bowl -$5! and a small, about 12 inches high, lamp with lovely white/opalescent/dk pink flowers stained glass shade ($10). Most attenders were in the buying/selling business. Several whom we know slightly.

So after these good days, I was hoping the energy would continue but thought I better do a detox bath this am right after R left. Did that and not much else since; Soup lunch and R came home for good clothes. Been on internet and emails all afternoon. But I think I am getting energy back so I shall go see if upstairs is warm enough to work.
