ok the tune is modal, i play this song in sawmill tuning[ gdgcd] on the banjo, my approach would on the english concertina would be to do it in a flat, which suits my voice, i would play the tune against an e flat drone, very different from alfs approach. why? because i do not think straightforward chords work.
