BTW, Matt, last week I heard a report and interview with a rocker, Dick Dale(?), whose stuff sounded pretty good to me. You have any more info on him? He's been doing the rock stuff since the late 50's but I hadn't heard of him before this. They say he's the fastest hardest picker on stage. He shreds his fingers and his picks and blasts more decibels than anyone else. (exaggerations, I'm sure) He himself explained that he has to use the heaviest gauge strings to get through half a concert without breaking a string.
