Wow, Firecat, not everyone celebrates their birthday at 4:43 AM! Must've been some party.

Matt - Okay, have it your way...you're NOT a nerd. But consider this...the world is full of people who are desperately afraid that someone will think they are a nerd. Those people:

1. start smoking at age 13 and stay hopelessly addicted for life.

2. Buy GAP clothing.

3. Wear baseball caps backwards.

4. Join gangs and beat up people whom they accuse of being nerds...or whomever else is handy.

5. When flagged down by a cop, floor it, and end up wrapping themselves around a lamppost or running over a pedestrian.

6. Shoot down numerous members of their High School class whom they think think they are nerds.

7. Get stinking drunk as often as possible at the local bar and pick fights with complete strangers over nothing whatsoever.

And so on...

People who are afraid of being nerds are a curse upon society, while those who happily embrace nerd-dom accomplish all the wonderful things that enrich our lives...like computers and Pacific Air War, for example.

So I say, let's hear it for Nerds. NERDS RULE!!!!

p.s. Admittedly, there are some who take Nerd-dom a tad too far...Woody Allen comes to mind...but even he has turned it into a good thing.
