Gosh, sorry. I didn't know providing scrutiny on legislation wasn't possible if you are the wicked witch of the West.

I doubt that name will affect those who voted for her who might vote for her again.

After all, you vote generally for a party rather than a personality. We have a Tory MP who impresses me as a constituency worker, (he has delivered on rural broadband funding from The EU, business development funding that has led to an old airfield nearby that now employs over 2,000 people and lots of other bits. I like him. But I couldn't vote for a party that would try to leave Europe and trust social infrastructure to the private sector.

So those who vote for her? Possibly voting for Cameron and Osborn anyway. You missed the boat in getting her deselected by her local party. She rides on the confidence or otherwise of the Conservative manifesto now.

The whole idea,as you say, is about the conservatives, not about her. Anybody wanting a conservative government will vote for her despite any motivation put forward using her as the reason.

A bit like when we voted for the New Labour ideal by putting red rosettes on donkeys.
