That .45-70 is a real nice lookin' rifle, Rap, good fer single shot long range shootin'. I like it. Mostly, though, I am usin' semi-auto or fully automatic weapons for layin' down a heavy volume of fire at short to medium ranges...meanin' the M1911 Pistol most of the time and the tommygun for the major firefights which happen now and then when the local gangs get restless. If I was hunkered down in the country, though, and aimin' to snipe at longer range, I figger the .45-70 would do the trick just fine.
