Subject: Lyr Add: Version: Won't You Come and Sing for Me
Here's another song I'm preparing for the Rise Again Songbook. This is what I hear on the Pioneering Women of Bluegrass, by Hazel Dickens and Alice Gerrard. Any corrections?

WON'T YOU COME AND SING FOR ME?
(Hazel Dickens, 1973)

I feel the shadows now upon me
And fair angels beckon me
Before I go, dear Christian brother
Won't you come & sing for me?
(in G) D - C G / C - G D / C - G - / D - C G

CHORUS
Sing the hymns we sang together
In that plain little church with the benches all worn
How dear to my heart, how precious the moments
We stood shaking hands & singing a song

C - G - / D - C G ://

My burden's heavy, my way has grown weary
I have traveled the road that was long
And it would warm this old heart, my brother
If you come & sing one song

In my home beyond that dark river
Your dear faces no more I'll see
Until we meet where there's no more sad parting
Won't you come & sing for me?
