RAM doesn't quite "click" when it seats but it does take a little more push than you might immediately think. But it doesn't take force, just a solid steady pressure when both ends are in place and you'll feel the little thump when it moves that last 1/4 inch into the slot. Look at the little slot that isn't quite in the middle of metal edge of the old RAM. Be sure the new pieces have the slot in the same position.
