Seamus Kennedy wrote, "So Ralph Rinzler, John Herald and Dian James are gone. Leaving Bob Yellin, Frank Wakefield and Jim Buchanon."

We could also add that Winnie Winston is gone and Eric Weissberg is still with us. Winnie played banjo with the Greenbriar Boys while Bob was on hiatus and Eric was the original mandolin player and (I believe) later played bass fiddle with the group.

I saw the Greenbriar Boys twice. The first time, in the early sixties it was the John Herald, Ralph Rinzler and Bob Yellin group with Brian Barron, of the York County Boys sitting in on fiddle.
The secon time was at the '64 Mariposa Festival in Maple Leaf Stadium with John Herald, Winnie Winston, Frank Wakefield, Jim Buchanon and (I think) Eric Weissberg. Both were great incarnations of the group.

I have never heard the Dian James record, but am curious. I hope there are some tunes on Youtube.

I was always curious about John's guitar on the cover of that album. It looked like it had a fixed bridge with a floating bridge stuck in front of it. Any info?
