BACS appears to be just a U.K. facility (Clive, correct me if I'm wrong!) but SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication) is definitely international. I assume these have replaced stuff like Bank Giro payments?

But Jim would still need to provide bank account details - I'm sure that's going to be the case with any internal transfer.

One could always get a certified bank draft in euro and post it, but I believe it's then negotiable for anybody who might get ahold of it...? Am I right in thinking that they would be as vulnerable as sending cash?
