Yours is the only version anyone has posted that contains the electric chair verse I remember my Dad singing when I was a kid (he's 95 now and just remembered a snatch of it the other day)

The couplet you were looking for is

"I've always been a gentleman," said he, "and I *entreat*
If there's a lady present, I'd like to give her my seat."


They put a nice young fellow in the electric chair one day.
They asked him if he'd anything that he would like to say.
"I've always been a gentleman," said he, "and I insist, (?)
If there's a lady present, I'd like to give her my seat."
