Subject: RE: Jingles you remember.
I may live to regret seeing this thread. There's all sorts popping into my head now!
Anyone remember Junglies?
Rowntree Junglies are new and nice to eat.
With crocodiles and elephants, they're fruit-flavoured jelly sweets.
Jungle up a lion, or grab yourself a bear,
Lots of jelly animals for everyone to share.
Jolly jelly Junglies are new and nice to eat!
Or the Tetley Tea Folk folk dance:
Tetley - Tetle-etle-ee.
Flavour - tasty as can be.
Tetley make tea bags.
Tetley make tea bags make tea.
Or, to the tune of John Peel:
Oh we are the lads from Country Life
And you can't put a better bit o' butter on your knife.
If you haven't any in have a word with your wife
And spread it on your toast in the morning.
Oh it's Country Life. It's English too.
From the cow to the dairy, from the dairy down to you.
Oh it's ______? and rich and creamy through and through
So spread it on your toast in the morning.
Got to stop now - my brain's curdling.
