Diatomaceous Earth is SO GREAT. It will work on less - cleaned carpets and upholstery if you use a flour sifter to apply. It will look a fright the day or two you want to leave it in place. It goes deeply into the nap of the rug or fabric and keeps working even after vacuuming. It will add some dust but if it's fud grade won't hurt you or the pets. Great also in washed pet bedding. Our one heavy application has not needed a repeat. Just warn folks a dry cleaning product has been applied or visitors will assume you were flinging a flour sack around a bit too freely!

Here the battle will be the yard. No hatchlings yet so the nematode trick is timely.
