Not sure I follow that, Dave. Take another example. You are a smoker, they aren't. When they visit you, out of consideration you choose not to smoke while they are around.   Surely you are not implying they should smoke if you visit them? Or even, necessarily, allow you to smoke in their house when cigarette smells could linger there for days?
