I'm not certain that this site is only for a North American audience, you'll have to poke around to see what all is there, but apparently for a $5 one-time membership, there are professionals who will refer member users to find the right parts if they are wanting to repair their own appliances. http://www.applianceblog.com/. I've seen how simple some repairs were in the past (but how expensive they were simultaneously!) and thought I'd like to be able to just get the part and do it myself. With so many repairs consisting of pulling out one modular piece and plugging it its replacement, it is worth the try.
