So, I got a personal message from a Young Person, asking me for ABC notation for "Show Me the Way to Go Home." I looked through lots of songbooks, but couldn't find the dots for the song. I think I learned it in Boy Scouts in about 7th grade, about 1960. I can't think of how many times I've sung that song.

I was amazed to find a Frank Crumit recording of the song from 1926 (attributed to Irving King [see above], published in 1925):
