Thread Name: Folk singer from the 1960's - June Bugg
Subject: RE: Folk singer from the 1960's - June Bugg
ANOTHER album with cuts by June Bugg:

VERNON 522 DOMINIQUE
June Bugg & Brother Pierre with The Singing Nuns
A Lyrical Masterpiece in French and English.

Obviously a attempt to cash-in on the popularity of
the SOEUR SOURIR album.

The liner notes (George Alpert) indicate June Bugg sings the following:
A1 Dominique
A2 The Little Soldier Man
A3 I'll Tend My Sheep
A5 Waken My Fair One From Thy Slumber
A6 Aupres Me Blonde

The remaining songs on the album are not mentioned
in the liner notes.

Brother Pierre is mentioned:
"Brother Pierre is an extremely able pianist and organist,
with wide range and virtuosity. ...His interpretation
coincides so very closely with June's...."

The remaining selections on the album:
A4 The Three Lovely Ladies
B1 Cantate Domino
B2 If The Lord Does Not Build The House (Psalm 26)
B3 Oh God of Lovliness
B4 Jesu Benigne
B5 Ave Maria
B6 O Lord Most Merciful

I have not heard the album, so cannot identify
June Bugg's accompaniment, nor if track A4 is her.
I GUESS that side B is "The Singing Nuns" - also
unverified.

ARE THERE MORE JUNE BUGG performances out there ??
Anyone have any leads to getting some information
about this singer ???

Best wishes, Thomas.
