Good news is easy on the mind. Glad to hear it.

Mum is much better today. The Tuesday night fall took a toll more mentally than physically. Still... no way she will consider a monitor, hearing aids, vertigo assessment and physio or cataract surgery. "My cousin went through that and the doctor put her through hell!" Sigh. I'd like to say, "Bullshit. You have to do these things for your own good.", but she has 30 years seniority on me so I can't.

Don't commiserate or offer anything at all. Fact is, this woe is miniscule in comparison. I am just venting. Just posting it lightens my load a tad. To have replies adds to my load.

So! Saw a Hummingbird yesterday and another today at the feeder I have next to Mum's apple tree! A small lone male Ruby Throated Hbird. Anyone who knows me knows my love of THE KING OF BIRDS. We used to have oodles all summer long but for three years... SFA! Last year, only a female and two young for three days during southern migration. I believe the pesticide and herbicides are killing them off. I immediately went in my house and called Mum... "Humming Bird Alert." "Okay!" Click. She is nearly blind but she has binoculars beside the kitchen window... I SO hope she saw it. I will have tears if she didn't.
