Beaver:
Kitchen painted! Could be better but it is fine fore now. Handles are back on doors. Most appliances are in appropriate spots; usage may bring changes. I am hoping for dish-washing energy yet tonight. Neighbour helped me wrestle the mattress back into the house! Going below freezing tonight. I gave him a supply of Zyflamend for wife; he says he may use it also. I gave them enough to determine whether or not it will be helpful. Then ordered a BIG bottle from my online supplier - much cheaper than stores.

Obtained ash shovel - had to go to a real store! At thrift shop: small glass bowls for geraniums, an excellent wooden shelf with a leg at each end to put under the east window and, with a burgundy cloth on shelf, they are in place (4), Plan to find something for under Bathroom window for them; they will need to have some heat when I am away in the dead of winter.

R may be VERY late or tomorrow. At noon he was just going to lunch with friends who rarely visit Montreal. I suggested he just get in the truck and come without bothering to go to the mill to bring anything. I would rather he have time to relax and de-clutter brain and body of city stuff.

Lots of traffic by noon already! I have a pile of warm clothes ready for tomorrow - layer upon layer!

The sun has dropped behind the west hill already (6:20). I am going to try a red lentil/beet stew in crock pot. NOW!
