Him: "Where's my xyz?"
Me: "Exactly where you left it dear".

And going through the turnstiles at Circular Quay, Sydney, while on holiday there:
Big shout from him - "I can't get through, I can't get through, I can't get through - my pass won't work" (More effective when you say things 3 times over, of course!)
Me: "Because that's your hotel room key, dear!" - except that I didn't say "dear"!
