These kind of discussions (leaving aside the tantrums) remind me of the time my colleagues at work, all female, were talking about men and getting a bit critical, and I'm getting on with my work, and one turns to me and says "Sorry, Kevin. We never think of you as being a man!"

I took it in the sense it was meant, as a kind of compliment.
