People coming for brunch: popovers, fruit, breakfast strata, mimosas, and other stuff like that. Even scrubbed the kitchen floor on my hands and knees, rubbing with the brown lye soap in boiling water, until my hands and knees were raw and bleeding. I cooked until my fingers were worn to the bone, and then I set the table (Noritake, silver, Waterford....). And me in excruciating pain from the dental surgery! But if it makes others happy then it is worth it. I only live to make others happy.
