Shopping ahead of this holiday isn't too difficult; last minute shoppers are mostly out getting booze, the grocery and craft stores were quite civilized.

This week I set about hanging some framed art, and matting some art that needing hanging. I'll have to find a new source of large sheets of mat boards, Michaels now keeps the large ones in back for themselves and out front only sells the smaller, thinner sheets in a few colors. Pulling frames (purchased at garage and estate sales for pennies on the dollar) out of one of my hall linen cupboard cabinets means I'll now have room to store something else (but who know what that might be?) in that spot. I have enough wall space for most of what I want to hang, though with the wood panelling in the den, I need to suspend wires from the picture rail (it is easier in some ways, but I need a ladder to reach the rail). This is one of those houses that from the outside is one simple story, but inside looks bigger and has a higher ceiling than one might expect. Not quite a Tardis, though.
