Dorothy, I'm glad you have water, hot and cold!

I went to put some potatoes in the small refrigerator in the sun room and discovered ants had colonized both of the orchid plants that sit on top of it. Yuck. Spinosad to get some of them, and I mixed up some compost tea in water and added a little spinosad then soaked each plant. It doesn't seem to be killing all of the ants - there are tiny ones and some big ones in the mix. And where they come from - I'll have to find the path and spritz it with diatomaceous earth.

We finally have winter weather, cold days, frozen overnight. And frisky dogs in the house. Still working on some organizing projects like filing papers and re-packing the contents of the closet where the holiday decorations are stored. And not leaving anything chewable down where someone might chomp on it.
