So the above reminded me that I need a large metal container for ashes from the wood stove. Added to tomorrow's list.

I have been keeping the house cool in hopes of using more calories but today I reved it up to 70 so I could comfortably wash hair and sit here 'til it dries. Just as it got TOO HOT! I realized this was a good time to bring in wood. Lovely out with a light snow falling; the air so delicious! Then I washed hair and had lunch. Started clearing space in BR for pottery but NOT going to bring stuff in through the falling snow. Anyway I am incredibly tired. All the clothes are dry and away but one stinky sheet - from fabric softener is still hanging over the wood stove so the heat can off gas the toxins. The clothesline is retracted and -I could go lie down on the heating pad for back aching and watch the snow fall and read.
