Our music teacher at EGHS (Kalgoorlie WA), Brian Gell loved to have us sing this song in the late 1950's. The music room, an old weatherboard single room isolated from the rest of the school and quite dingy. Brian knew how to 'get the boys ' singing and this song was one of his tools.
My Men's shed is starting a singing group and I hope to use this to get the blokes involved.
